  This a great place to get good BBQ and hang out with friends.  The bar beside the restaurant is owned by the same person so you can take food from the Pit Room then eat it while having a drink at the bar or patio.

  We came Sunday morning at opening and there was zero wait.
  
  Ordered only the beef rib since it's minimum 1 rib which is about 1lb bone in. Lots of peppercorn blackened on the outside, which explains why it's so peppery. Beef is perfectly cooked all the way through with a nice layer of fat spread evenly.
  
  Coleslaw is also peppery but not too much mayo. Coleslaw was more refreshing than anything.
  
  Definitely get the toast as a palette cleanser for the ribs.
  
  My first time trying beef rib Bbq so I wasn't sure what to expect. The beef ribs were quite good although a bit too peppery for my liking. The meat wasn't quite fall off the bone and was slightly tougher than I expected. Will have to come back to try out the pork ribs and brisket!

  Great place to take out of town visitors. Nestled in the Museum District, the Pit Room has your typical feel of a barbecue joint with wooden booths and seats and fresh, hot barbecue plated in front of you onto metal trays.
  
  The beef rib is a MUST here. It is HUGE and fall off the bone kind of tender with a good char. The tacos are good if you're looking for something a little lighter with a Tex-Mex flair (brisket tacos, pulled pork tacos), and the mac and cheese is one of my favorite sides. I wasn't a huge fan of the elote here because it had so much mayo it felt almost greasy but overall this is a very solid place to get some barbecue.

  When I asked my family from Houston for recommendations for some good Texas BBQ, this was on their list. I went on a Sunday and it was crowded, the line was long but moved quickly.
  
  I wanted some good Texas/ Louisiana style sausage and theirs was okay. It was infused with other stuff like cheddar/ Jalapeno  and I just wanted traditional. I tried both varieties of sausage on the menu. However, the ribs, potato salad and okra was very good. The service was good and seating was plentiful because they had seating next door too.  
  
  One thing that I did not like was that they allow dogs inside their bar and they had a dog on the patio with no lease. Other than that, it was a good decision to eat there.

  We came a little late to this place after wanting to eat some bbq after we landed and saw that this spot was happening. The line here was out the door! As you walk up you could smell the smokiness of the bbq not to mention they have a bar area next door that allows you to drink while waiting in line.
  
  Being a little late around 730 they ran out of beef ribs and pork ribs. Two of the things I really wanted to try, so I settled for the other picks brisket, Czech sausage and turkey. The turkey was one of the best things I've tried. The brisket not bad and neither the sausage. The Mac and cheese was nice since the pasta was still solid. They made their own chicharron so that was definitely a treat as well. I think what made it better was the coffee sauce. Overall it was a good experience. Hopefully next time when I come back I can try their beef ribs.
